Luigi De Carlo Bespoke Tailoring

With +70 years of experience in the business, we offer a unique high-end bespoke tailoring service.

Not only all our clothes are made to measure: they are specifically thought and designed for each client body’s needs and unique shape.

Every single piece of our artwork is handmade: from the beginning to the final product. An Italian craft made by Italians.

Luigi De Carlo clothes are the combination of art and quality: you will feel an unparalleled comfort when wearing a Luigi De Carlo suit, jacket or shirt exclusively designed for you.

Bespoke suits, shirts, pants, jackets, smoking and more. Both for the lady and the gentleman.

We only work with the finest fabrics, such as Loro Piana, Ermenegildo Zegna, Kiton Barberá, Dormeuil, Scabal Super 150 and Super 180 wool, Italian linen and suede, Vicuña wool and cashmere. Among others, these are some of the fabrics you will find in our store.

Fatto a Mano

Luigi De Carlo artisanal work is based on the traditional Napolitan and Calabrian method.

Initially, a measurement of the client’s body takes place in order to develop a paper-based mold exclusively designed for his or her unique physical shape and particular needs.

The sewing stage comes after this first interview with the client. It is then followed by a first and a second fitting for major adjustments.

After these fittings take place, minor adjustments are made to guarantee precision lapels, linings and buttonholes detailing.

Following this step-by-step process is key in traditional bespoke tailoring processes: it has historically been and continues to be standard practice in handmade tailoring.

All our clothes are the result of more than 70 hours of passionate work combined with the finest Italian fabrics (Super 150 and 180 Wool, Linen, Suede, Vicuña and Poplin 2×2).

Our History

The tradition of an entire family. Art creation and passion for fine clothing.

Luigi De Carlo is named after its founder, an Italian master in the art of sewing.

Originally from Cosenza, Luigi left his hometown and landed in Buenos Aires in 1948 where he learnt this craftmanship from an uncle.

Passionate about art, music and paintings, Luigi channeled these feelings into his artisan work and made each clothe a unique art piece.

Year after year he developed solid entrepreneurial skills, always respecting what his predecessors taught him. He transmitted his knowledge to the upcoming generations.
